Al Hazm or Al-Hazm is a town in Al Jawf Governorate of Yemen. It is the principal town of Al Hazm District.[1] It is located northwest of the city of Ma'rib and southwest of Sa'dah.[2][3] In the late 1980s a highway was built through Al Hazm, leading to Baraqish and Ma'in to the south to Ma'rib.[4]Yemen was reported by OPEC to have received a $5m loan for the road project on May 11,1987. [5]It is served by Al Hazm Airport.[6] Al Hazm has been mentioned in numerous publications as being connected with Al Qaeda.[7][8]
